some women fear being sexually assaulted..and with good reason
I think women having a fear of men they dont know when out alone, especially at night, is normal tho. Not crippling like you think you're gonna get raped or murdered by every man you see but enough that you're on guard.
I have a second job where I deliver to a bakery at 3-4am before the store opens. I'm out by myself making these deliveries at night. One night I go to park at the store I'm delivering to and the alarm to the building starts going off. I hopped right back in the truck and called my manager who then called the cops. Fuck that shit I'm not going in there.
A couple nights later one of my coworkers was delivering to that same store and he gets there and the door is propped open. Hes a big dude and was just like fuck it I'm tryna get this shit done and went in there and dropped the shit off anyway.
Men dont have the same concerns we have to have on a day to day basis lol. I dont pay attention to none of these think piece PSAs on social media cuz 10/10 it be some bullshit, even if it's something I agree with. This is a prime example of said bullshit, however, the sentiment is not.
yeah this shit is wild lol
I mean I kinda get it.....but then I don't know an elevator I've gotten on where you've either had to pass a concierge, security, receptionist or speed gate etc. Then on top of that there's either a camera in the elevator or the lift lobby.
Plus the original post referenced a hotel elevator so you'd need to be signed in and have a hotel key card....I mean....
You have enough security to feel secure here so FOHWTBS twitter bitches! LOL
Now if it's an apartment block then I would say "okay you don't want no random person you've never seen or spoken before necessarily knowing where you live" cool, hence this is a scenario that has more credibility.
I mean usually when I'm walking home from a late night out, if I see 50+ meters ahead of me a lone woman on the same side of the street, I simply just cross over the road. I ain't got time to be closing the gap on her and suddenly she gets a panic attack as I'm trying to walk past her or even worse just as I'm about to past her she fucking deviates into that space and now I gotta check my walk because of a scenario her dumb ass created
At first I initially thought "this is stupid". Then I actually thought about what they said and it makes sense on a.basic level. All the "I don't want them" "I'm not trying to hurt them"....thats cool but how in the hell are they supposed to know that? Ain't like niggas who rape and assault walk around with signs on their head. Now i do think there's an extra level of paranoia that some groups of people have towards men especially black men...yes and most times it is unfounded and without merit. With that said taking a precaution to make sure somebody you don't know doesn't follow you to your room or where you're staying ain't a bad idea. Shit when I was in school my female friends would often call just to have someone on the phone if they were walking home from the library or computer lab late for the same reason.
Nah most hotels you really can just walk in and go straight to the elevator without anybody asking you shit. Shit I just read a story last month about a woman who sued a hotel because she was raped because the rapist was given her room key simply by going to the front desk and asking for it.

But they aren't talking about precautions they can take to avoid being attacked. They are coming up with things they expect men to do to ease their paranoia.

That's fucked up what happened to that woman on two fronts and basically hotel staff clearly didn't follow any security protocol.
I mean the woman put the safety latch on and he got a maintenance worker to undo it! smh
Hotel not suppose to check EVERYBODY that is coming in.
That does not make any sense at all
That was my point. Look at the post I responded to saying hotels do check everybody
Bitch did this the other daywhen most women dont say thank you for holding a door
Internet women: "We're strong! We're fierce!!! We can do anything a man can do!!!"
Also internet women: "Men need to make us feel better about being alone in an elevator 'cause we can't do it ourselves"
could make the same argument where u replace women with black people and men with white people.
black people on internet: white tears,.we are kings, we are strong, we are gods,
white person does anything insensitive
:cry3:
