Newark rapper Tripple Beanz shot dead by masked gunmen in New Jersey(video)

I keep seeing these topics but don't know who any of these dudes are. Are they real rappers, or some street niggas talking about they want to rap? Because if these are some real legit rappers that ain't involved in any other bullshit and they are getting shot at like this, it sounds like there is a green light on rappers for some reason.

I would think it has to be something you're wholeheartedly pursuing as a career. I mean street dudes wanting to be rappers but still having a foot in the streets isn't anything new. Rae & Ghost said they didn't give up selling drugs until after Wu-tang Forever was released. However, the difference is they were going on tours and putting out albums, not just featured in a song hear and there. So yeah, they may have been backsliding, but still, at that point their lives were like 90% rap and 10% street. Some of these dudes ya'll are calling rappers have like the opposite percentage.

I'm grateful for my age and the fact that I no longer want to be a hip-hop artist. The shelf-life for 18-27 year-old rappers is getting shorter by the day. No one would wanna snipe an old muhfucka like me.

R.I.P. to this man and condolences to his family. This shit is beyond insane now. Is there a rap war going on we don't know about?

Y’all like to play my side is the only side. Until no one wants to hear it, then it’s foul.

A simple rip regardless of who he is or what he calls himself.

Placing reporting on your own views of whis important is crazy.

We gotta stop with this only black men we know or high profile in the news are the only ones that count.narrative.

lol I didn't say anything about his life not mattering because I don't know him. I asked the question because I wanted to know if this more evidence that there is legitimate targeting of rappers being down out there or if all these incidents are examples of street niggas who dabble in rap getting caught up in some street shit.

First off, RIP Tripple Beanz. We gotta stop calling ppl rappers just because they have some songs and social media followers... especially when the first time you hear about them is their death. Don't confuse street business with hip hop... journalists do that, we don't have that luxury. He specifically said he's not a rapper in the 2nd song I ever heard from him 2 minutes before this post, and I'm taking his word for it.

Lastly, RIP Tripple Beanz.

EDIT: Looks like I got beat to the punch of that conversation. Before social media, dude would've just been another nigga shot and it would've barely made the news. Media does this particularly to target hip hop, and that's regardless of how anyone views rappers in society.
