My def of a classic is a song that doesnt get old...granted I don't listen to this song that much but whenever it comes on the radio it's still cool so yeah in my opinion classic

TUUUUNE, got great memories to this song...

'Watch me as I gas that, 4.6 Range
Watch the candy paint change, everytime I switch lanes
It feel strange now
Makin a livin off my brain, instead of 'caine now
I got the title from my momma put the whip in my own name now,
Damn shit done changed now
Runnin credit checks with no shame now
I feel the fame now (come on), I can't complain now (no more)
Shit I'm the mayne now, in and out my own town
I'm gettin pages out of New Jersey, from Courtney B.
Tellin me about a party up in NYC
Can I make it? Damn right, I be on the next flight
Payin cash; first class - sittin next to Vanna White'

Its funny when I was a kid I felt like Nelly's music was too 'commercial' or it was 'corny' listening to Nelly, BUT looking back dude was actually spitting hard lyrics, and listening to the wack schitt thats out now makes me actually appreciate his music and I get some good nostalgia from his tunes...

I always messed wit his music, his 1st 2 albums anyway, but I appreciated more when I seen a Behind the Music or something like that about him. Like dude was out there in them streets, but I appreciated that every other song wasn't "I'm on tha block" "I'm pushing mad weight".

Yeah I think he was official... On 'Country Grammar' which was his first single, I think alot of people (me included) heard the kinda catchy 'poppy' melody but didnt really catch what he was saying, like he was actually rapping about coming down the block in a Range Rover with a street sweeper and tearing it up, and saying he doesnt want the 'fame and the glamour just D's with a rubber hammer' haha and he made a hit outta it...

I actually fck with his tunes like 'Dilemma' too... I think his music is dope these days...

lol that’s because mainstream hip hop has gotten so bad, that back in 2000, Nelly was considered wack and pop. But now he isn’t so bad in retrospect.
