The tournament supposedly is later than usual and would run into training camp so that's supposedly one of the reasons why players are withdrawing also.

That's why I put supposedly because that's the only legit reason I've heard. It could also be like another poster already stated because players feel this season anybody has a legit shot at winning so people are trying to stay healthy.

I mean even a lot of the foreign born NBA players are withdrawing
