Album sales don't mean shit & never have to me...even moreso in this day and age where the numbers are so easily manipulated. I'm the music consumer. All I care about is whether the music sounds good or not. Album is still fire whether he sells 10K or 100K.

Reasonable Doubt sold 43k in it's first week. I think Ready to Die only sold around 57k it's first week. Food & Liquor moved about 81k first week. All of these, including Illmatic, are generally regarded as classics and all of them had, what would be considered, shitty sales the first week...especially during that time period.
