But in terms of the full spectrum of being an influential artists, as much as Im not really a Kanye fan past his first two albums and street mixtapes... Ive got to give it to Kanye...
He bought in a new style and specific niche into hip hop during a time when gangsta rap was strong... Yes there was already Common, Talib, Mos, The Roots etc around but his college style and lyrics were different and transcended the hip hop genre and went global... He wasnt just conscious rapper, he still flossed and bragged about balling too 'were all self conscious Im just the first to admit it'...
Not only that he was a GOAT producer who ushered in his own specific sound...
Then he's gone on and made 100's of millions in the fashion industry...
So his bought in a specific style of hip hop, production and fashion... Kanye really did change the game...
