More Pressure To Drop A Good Album: Drake or Cole?

All I’m saying is Drake needs to drop a good solo album. Fans that fuck with him no matter what not withstanding. The listeners are gonna be there but that’s not the point. A shitty Drake solo album after all he did as far as taking niggas to court over streams and what have you… well he’s gonna depend on that same system he’s bitched about’s machine to push him and streams to bail him out of embarrassment if he doesn’t put out quality work & the irony won’t be lost on anyone. Drake hasn’t been on the masses mind for anything positive solo wise in a long time. I said it during the beef if he drops some hits and is everywhere again it’ll be the comeback for the ages.

So if the people that don't like drake don't like the album then it won't be defined as a good album? Thats what we're going with? You're setting an impossible bar. But whatever.

If I say “the masses” and you feel compelled to interpret it as people who don’t like Drake then that says a lot about the current landscape lol. Putting out a good album isn’t an impossible bar for Drake. Ima need you to get outta this “people who like him” mindset. Cuz if the nigga makes good music that the majority fuck with even the people who straight up don’t fuck with him (if they’re reasonable) are gonna be at a minimum cool with it.

You also said "fans that fuck with him no matter what notwithstanding" He consistently makes good albums. But you're essentially saying some people will like it no matter what (which isn't true at least not for anyone on this site. Ive disliked his music before) opinions weighs less. But the album is created with his fans in mind. It's catered to them.

Its just odd to me at this point 15+ years in. People should know if they like his music or not and move accordingly. The people who are fans opinions should actually hold the most weight cause again it's catered to them. I don't really want to know what 5th Letter thinks about it same way a Taylor swift fan wouldn't wouldn't want to know about what he thinks of her drop, the same way a Kendrick fan wouldn't put any weight behind my opinion on gnx... so I don't offer it.

I just don't believe someone who doesn't fuck with him and his music can now all of a sudden be at a minimum cool with it. Those people are few and far in-between. To me that sounds like you're setting an impossible standard.

The question I wonder about is what if its a fire ass album but the subject matter is all about how he's the illest rapper like he's been saying during his feature run leading up to the beef?

Do we accept it as dope raps or look at it sideways because of what happened in his last showdown?

He can't do that shit no more unless he says fuck it and comes for both of them directly and unequivocally. And even the drake and Kendrick would have every right to not entertain it.

Dont take away from his skills but them "cant nobody fuck wit me" type bars aint gonna fly or be taken seriously anymore lol
