This was fun.

Seems like they gave Drax some of his OG abilities back where he was Class 50 in strength and durable enough to take bullets. Doesn't have the power blasts but I guess you can't ask for everything.

GoBots being canon is fuckin hilarious to me.

The only thing I liked about this was rocket and Cosmo the dog. What's up with those animation sequences? Shit looked horrible. Why didn't they just film it in kive action instead?

You've never seen Heavy Metal or the OG animated Hobbit, LOTR, or any other Rankin/Bass animated specials have you? The "Special" intro alone was very much inspired by the period when Peter was a kid: All of the Kevin Bacon stories Quill told came from the late 70's/80's, so it made a bit of sense to include an 80's style of animation in it.
