Sadly I think her being middle eastern, teenage female, and Muslim has a bit to do with that.

The other shows have also been characters known to the general audience. Moon Knight being the exception but it had 2 stars in it with Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke. This one, this is the main character's first role in anything

All of that, plus people hate Captain Marvel, so it makes sense some folks tune out.

I’m really liking this show a lot. It has a good mix of action and comedy.

my favorite character is Kamala’s dad. He is such a positive character so far in this show. Goofy but wise.
