for whatever irrational reason this isn’t enough. I do think they should introduce a T’Challa variant. It could be a post credit scene. That they build on with the Disney+ series. Gives the audience & even the characters in the movie time to process a new T’Challa

The character has already been established as the lovable sidekick sister who’s never been trained as a fighter. And Letitia does not have the persona of a badass fighter. She just looks like the sweet little smart sister. And the actress can’t carry a franchise, she’s not good enough.
 
Whatever reason they give for T’Challa’s death, make it to where Shuri was with him and they both died.

Bring back MBJ with the explanation that they saved him against his wishes. Give him a redemption arc over two movies where he eventually becomes the Black Panther and reveal that the entire trilogy was about Killmonger’s Black Panther.

But I mean was it billed that she was supposed to carry the entire franchise tho. I mean I thought maybe like a movie or two but the main character is gone I don’t think this a case where you just fill somebody else in for long term. But I don’t think her as main character was gonna ruin this at all.

man naw wtf they need Killmonger for that nigga had fucked up. Black Panther supposed to be African born. How you gonna explain the whole Wakanda just forgetting what he did?

Shuri upset that her brother died left wakanda (which Atleast leaves the door open for Letitia in the future)

Just slide my man M’baku in since he wanted the throne anyways

that’s how I would ideally navigate things but it’s hard since production been already in motion so idk

The annoying thing is I don't think they'll kill T'Challa, but they also won't recast him. so I'm sure they'll do some weird, non-descript disappearing act

I think killing him would be best

i get the notion of you wanna keep him in some type of capacity like using the multiverse to fall back on but I think it’s easier even if you gonna have to tell a different version of what you originally wanted

This my opinion though they can do whatever they want to get around the death and Letitia potentially being gone. They smarter than me

I’m also not a slave to the comics so I’ll accept anything if it makes sense and good

Killmonger’s dad was a prince so he’s a rightful heir.

Darth Vader fucked up too but that nigga still chilling with the Jedi in the force. That’s why it’s called a redemption arc. He’ll have to prove himself and convince the people.

Killmonger was the most popular character in the movie and MBJ can carry a franchise.

I’m saying, T’Challa may feel guilty and can’t bring himself to blame Killmonger for what Wakanda did to him and his father. He had good intentions but no guidance.

So he saved him but while he was under he went to the ancestral realm and visited with his pops and past kings and when he woke up started seeing things a little differently.

And after T’Challa dies they come to him to help against a great threat because of his fighting and strategic prowess. He does so reluctantly, still trying to reconcile past actions to his new outlook. Refuses the Black Panther mantle and remains Jaguar until part 3 where he fully redeems himself and takes up the mantle.
