July 8, 2022 - BP2: WAKANDA FOREVER
It most certainly has to be someone from the Panther tribeAlot of people want M'Baku as Black Panther.
I don't. I respect him for not taking the herb. He's his own man with his own tribe. He'll fight for his country but he's not with the Black Panther tribe. Ba'ast ain't his god.
If Chadwick’s brother want the role of T’Challa to be recasted then I don’t see why they couldn’t move forward with the original script.
I’ve said it before but Chadwick knew the role was bigger than himself and he wouldn’t stop another black man from putting his own spin on it.
DC is already recasting Superman for the next movie, Sony rebooted Spider-Man once they made a deal with Disney and James Bond gets a new actor every couple of years. T’Challa should be treated with that same aspect.

All respect to you and him but this might be the stupidest shit I read all week
I listened to the video in full. What? What was the negative response to T'Challa from Hollywood?
And don't give me some random tweet from somebody with 12 followers.

In context, he's saying Hollywood execs did not like that there was such an overwhelming positive response to BP. It's a fact that most major studios
Yea...but this is Marvel/Disney. I highly doubt they believed BP wouldn't be successful by the time his solo movie came out since he was already popular when he was first introduced in winter soldier. Theyre not banking on bringing something into the MCU that won't have any long lasting success.I listened to the video in full.
In context, he's saying Hollywood execs did not like that there was such an overwhelming positive response to BP. It's a fact that most major studios
1. do not believe black led film is profitable or sustainable
2. Are minimal risk takers creatively, hence why most content reminds you of something that just came out before it
3. Execs want all the credit and none of the blame
The success of BP broke the mold more than the movie itself did. It was supposed to be a moderate success at best that Black audiences wouldn't support and everyone forgot about weeks later. That didn't happen and Marvel proved a trillion dollar industry wrong. But unlike the movies, in real life, when you show someone the error of their ways, they don't suddenly repent and admit their wrongs. They double down and lobby to make their wrongs seem right and the right seem like a fluke.

I'm not sure where the negativity came from.

Damn! I had it as civil war and changed it cuz I couldn't rememberCivil War**
Here's one example off the top of my head.Yea...but this is Marvel/Disney. Unfortunately this probably closer to the truthCoolger or Fiege didn't return his call or text.
Here's one example off the top of my head.
Ike Perlmutter used to be over all of Marvel TV and film. He and Kevin Feige would butt heads over alot of potential projects because Feige wanted to do, Perlmutter would say no because he thought it cost too much or wouldn't be profitable. One of those projects was Black Panther. Then the head of Disney at the time, Bob Iger stepped in and restructured Marvel giving Feige free reign. Only then did we get movies like Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Check the time-line, even Civil War wouldn't have been what it was if Perlmutter was still in control. He didn't want to play ball with Sony if he couldn't buy Spiderman outright.
He only recently left Marvel but he's an Israeli born Hollywood exec. If you think he doesn't have friends in places who think the way he does, think again.
