Disney+ Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Watched it last night.

Not bad, I do genuinely prefer Thunderbolts over this flick tho.

Kinda threw me off a bit having this set in an alternate earth with a 50's-60's vibe and some level of advanced tech. I'm still not sold on the female Silver Surfer but whatever. Galactus was dope and Herbie wasn't annoying as shit which is absolutely what I was expecting, like on some Jar Jar Binks level of annoying. The story was pretty good and the effects were as well. Solid flick from Marvel. I don't know if these last few flicks can undo the damage to the MCU in the public eye, but so far it's been pretty decent this year.

Also, having it being Earth 828 as a reference to Jack Kirby's birthday was a nice touch.
 
Just got done watching this. It was pretty good.

I really wish they hadn't used Galactus though. They nerf all the characters for the MCU, so him being weaker in the movie than he was in the comics is no big deal. The problem is that they nerfed him so much that he's not the same character. He should be a cosmic level force, and they basically turned him into a humanoid Godzilla.
