Honest review, this was a good movie. It felt a little weird and clunky in parts, you can tell parts where chunks might have been cut off in editing.

That said, good movie.

I was looking forward to seeing how this connects to our universe and doomsday. In the comics, in secret wars Doom took Galactus' power. I thought that might happen at the end but it turned out he took Franklin who also has the same powers as Galactus.

I personally didn't like what they did to Galactus. I know they need to make changes so the story fits the medium, but Galactus was written poorly imo and should have been portrayed as way stronger than he was

Still was a very enjoyable movie

Is it possible that maybe you've outgrown the genre? You've hated or not been impressed by multiple projects on either side for years. You didn't even like X-Men 97 lol
This is where im at. I know its over for me and it's a me issue. I just don't care about any of this shit anymore.

How would you have wanted them to portray his strength?

Easily the best cinematic adaptation of the fantastic four. Everything was on point to me. Visuals was A1 and the overall story captured the essence of the 4. Lady silver surfer was FIRE. And Galactus was PIFF!! Damn remember when all we got was a cloud???

Glad they didn’t do their usual “oh yall like this villain? Get him the fuck outta here” bit with him also. So I’m guessing in the future he’ll be back. The way they trolled the audience with the absence of Doom during those UN meetings was actually smart. Mans couldn’t be bothered listening to Sue or any briefings held by the 4. The idea to tease an empty chair itself brings gravity to his overall presence. Wish we could just hit fast forward to Doomsday

Overall 8.5/10

Ended on a high note after Thanos they can't seem to hit lightning again
I thought that's what it was but I can't even spin on the old shit. I think im just over it. I'd still like to see how they do the xmen for nostalgia purposes but I don't care as much as I would have 10 years ago.

I liked Loki in the movies but couldn't get through the TV show. Im going back to Spiderman, and this Fantastic Four movie when I get a chance and XMen

Well, that was

This captured the essence of the Fantastic Four in a way we've never seen on the big screen. Reed's genius also being a curse and the strain it can cause on his relationship with Sue. The back and forths between Ben and Johnny were amusing. Sue was the heart of the family. Visuals and score were fire. Silver Surfer chasing their ship through space was great. Galactus looked awesome and his presence looms throughout. Latveria is finally in the MCU and Doom's absence in the UN meetings is noticeable.

I wish they dug more into the family dynamics and wish we got more scenes of them working together as heroes. We only got that in that Johnny and Ben scene against Galactus. The CGI baby was jarring like it was in Squid Game. CGI kinda looked off when The Thing was talking to the girl he was interested in on the street

That midcredit scene though

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just need @Inori review now, then I will see if I should watch this

Not bad. a bit formulaic but I supposed thats to be expected at this point. A couple take-aways

the people of this earth were a buncha assholes lol. The F4 were the ONLY people that could possibly be do anything on the whole planet and they shitting on shorty for not giving up her baby? Lol Reed was a damn fool cuz I wouldnt have told them shit. FOMF with a press conference.

Silver Surfer was coo.. I feel like they coulda fleshed out her character a bit more. 5 more minutes or so with the character wouldve done her and the story more justice.

I dont know much about Galactus but they seemed to try to almost make him sympathetic like the hunger was something he couldnt control and was looking to burden someone else with it. Is he like that in the comics?

Im sick of the death fake outs... fuck outa my face with that shit yo... they did it with the lil girl in thunderbolts and they did it again here only to bring both characters back after a 5 minute pregnant pause and swelling music only for... suprise!(not really) Threyre not really dead! FOH yo.

They did that fisheye lens when someone flying shit again that I hate too.

Overal it was serviceable. A little dissapointed it didnt connect with the end credits from Thunderbolts. Stick around for the first end credits.. dont bother with the second

I'm pretty sure the midcredit scenes from Thunderbolts and this movie are from Doomsday. The Russos shot both scenes

more than likely. i set myself up for disappointment thinking galactus was gonna fuck up their whole planet and the movie ends with them escaping to the main reality 🤷🏽‍♂️

It was only a brief moment but I chuckled to myself on the midcredits cuz I was like wouldnt this be some shit if the dude with Franklin was Kang 😅

I bursted out a loud ass laugh when Sue walked out with Franklin and all you hear is some bitch in the background “SELFISH!!!” LMAO

These ppl turned on them quick for making the same decision they probably would have made. And then when she gave that speech they were all like “yeah you right!!! Let’s defeat Galactus together!!!” I woulda said FOH

Also yeah Galactus here was pretty comic accurate. Him being of the power cosmic gives him an uncontrollable hunger to always have to consume planets. He’s not really a villain he’s more a necessary aspect of the universe to keep the natural order. But obviously he’s seen as a villain cause he comin for your planet lol
