Mark Jackson blackballed due to his religious beliefs on Marriage and Homosexuality

Danny Ferry punk ass tried that shit. Motufucka said Loul Deng had too much African in him in a city that's full of Africans. Danny Ferry made those comments while sitting in an office at State Farm Arena. An arena that was built using tax payer funds in city in which the majority of the tax payers are Africans. Suffice it to say it wasn't very long until someone else was sitting in that office in State Farm Arena.
Oh here it is

Good points here but we all know the Bible and every other religious book was written by man nobody has ever seen God or a god write anything. Pastors know their doctrines and scripts were set centuries ago by some Roman and Greek folks. Books left in some took out. Shit Jews got like 600 commandments but Christians got 10. So obviously them books ain’t perfect. They twisted the Word to rationalize our slavery.

Man been picking and choosing since the start

They didn't twist the word of the bible to rationalise slavery. Its quite clear that Jesus and God both excepted people to have slaves

A letter from co-owner Michael Gearon Jr. recommends that Ferry resign or be fired. Gearon cites Ferry telling the ownership group that Deng "has a little African in him."
His June 12 letter to co-owner Bruce Levenson said Ferry went on to say, "Not in a bad way, but he's like a guy who would have a nice store out front and sell you counterfeit stuff out of the back."
Added Gearon: "Ferry completed the racial slur by describing the player (and impliedly all persons of African descent) as a two-faced liar and cheat."

In regards to the insensitive remarks that were used during our due diligence process, I was repeating comments that were gathered from numerous sources during background conversations and scouting about different players," Ferry said in a statement released by the team.

"I repeated those comments during a telephone conversation reviewing the draft and free agency process. Those words do not reflect my views, or words that I would use to describe an individual and I certainly regret it. I apologize to those I offended and to Luol, who I reached out to Monday morning."

Your comments were tame compared to what Ferry said, in my opinion. The sad thing is even my Spurs threw him a life line to work a small job after all that shit went down. His stupid ass pretty much generalized African's as being shady from his comments.
It's been fuck Danny Ferry every since he cheap shoted Jordan in the playoffs and flinched like a bitch when Mike was about to drop his ass

From a Biblical standpoint, an abomination is just something that is against God's design. Sin in general is any action that goes against God's will. Jesus and his apostles give explicit commands not to lie, fornicate, commit adultery, or any of those things because they are sinful. Christians live under the new covenant as introduced in the New Testament. Nowhere does Jesus or anyone that follow him point out homosexuality as being any worse than any other sin. Homosexuality, fornication, adultery, lust, etc... are all lumped under the umbrella of sexual immorality.

That debate aside, any Christian who thinks its his job to police the world is just wrong. Jesus himself didn't do that so why would any of us believe that's our job or right?

This isn't a debate. I was bored at work and just conversing by throwing a few things out that would get a convo sparked. I was truthful in what I said about preachers in my first post though.

My stance is I don't give a fuck what two consenting adults decided to do sexually. Shit has no bearing on my life and ain't my business. Only religious people I put up with are my granny and mommy other than them fuck that shit!

I should have said discussion. That's more accurate. And I'd consider myself a religious person, though spiritual would probably be more accurate since I think the typical way Christianity is executed as a religion is trash. Largely I feel the same as you. It's not really my business. If those people are looking for spiritual guidance, then as a Christian, I'm supposed to share the faith. Outside of that, it's not my place to interject myself into other people's lives and try to determine how they should live them.

The underlined is how it should be regardless of if a person is religious, spiritual or just trying to live as a human being.

I'd agree for the most part, but as social creatures, there will always be these boundaries that are constantly being tested. I think abortion is a good example. Right now it's being framed as a woman's or a reproductive health issue. As a result, many women feel like the government and society has no right to tell them what to do with their bodies. At this point, abortions are basically limited to zygotes, which are very early in the process. At one time, they were allowed pretty far along in the process when there was no question that it was a living baby in the womb. Some feel like that should still be allowed because it's the woman's right and her choice. I feel like in cases like that, society has the right to speak out as a collective and say "we don't want to all the free murdering of babies." But when it comes to activities where no other parties are harmed, I agree with you 100%.

Ah but can force it on nobody else. It’s reasons we can’t discuss politics religion and sexuality at work

because of man made law....which is essentially forced on everyone lol

from a religious standpoint, I can see the conflict and thats where most people draw the line

some will push it and feel justified in doing so

I cant really call either wrong...its not my place

I'll say this. It always amuses me when athiests bash religion for the stance taken against certain things. Athiests don't believe in God, so to them, all religion is manmade bullshit. Ok, that's fine. If that's true, then everything that results from the practice of religion is really just humans doing what they want to do. If God didn't tell people to hate gays and in reality some human just wrote in several books that homosexuality is wrong, then fundamentally, a large contingent of humans just abhor homosexuality. I'm not saying that's right. However, it's not a religious thing. For whatever reason, a segment of humanity has always been susceptible to homosexuality and a segment of humanity has always despised them for it. So bashing religion and trying to eliminate it won't solve the problem. I make point because some people really do act like religion is the only thing keeping the world from peace on this matter. That's just not true, although to be fair, clinging to religion may be what is slowing progress on this issue.

Why do we even know your stances on homosexuality. Like nigga you are at work shut up.

probably was having a bad day and was tired of seeing it on a daily basis either in the locker room or in society in general...

either way, he should’ve kept it to himself, but when you let emotions dictate your actions then this is what happens...

I was about to mentioned this incident before I seen your post. Ferry was a dirty player. I wish that was mid 80s Chicago Bulls, when Oakley was on the team, so he could've bowed tf out of Ferry
