One Beer >>> Mural

@Goldie set up the poll man, lol.

So glad he put Haile Selassie on this shit. It's been one my favorite tracks for a minute.

Speaking of tracks Kneeling on Needless needs to be on an album somewhere asap

Just listened to it again to get ready for Waves and I caught something that didn't even cross my mind before

"They let a lad in I was floating on a cover"

It's the little shit like that why I'll always be a fan

You really believe this album is better than The Cool ? So it's Lupe's best work ???? Stanley you said you put the album above The Cool.
Did I say it's his best work?

Since you are hanging on to my every word, let me clarify, I think the production on this album is better than the production on the cool

Aite.. im only gonna ask this one more time since more people have heard the album.... on yall second/third/fourth listen... yall letting that interlude rock or you skipping it? lol

I'm letting it rock

I think Waters explanation of it was perfect

Production is the key word sir

Production for the body of work that is drogas wave, is better than production for the body of work on the cool

I agree with you @Like_Water had a fantastic breakdown of what I believe Lupe was trying to accomplish with that interlude.... makes sense to me.

does it sound GOOD... or is it something I want to hear again? Nah.. but that's just me tho.

Crazy part is... im pretty sure that interlude wouldnt annoy me as much if there were appropriate visuals to accompany it

I can see but honestly man, I just let it ride while creating the images for myself to the point where it feels like one of the seasons interludes on T&Y.

My fav was I think winter? The one right before chopper iirc. It sounded like some swarm of insects or something. Like chaotic

It's a play on words too. They let Aladdin, floating on the cover... which in that sense is his magic carpet.

Water, you don't see man?

This too simple, we glorifying these simple bars

I see the waves like a whale sea the ocean

I don't think it's better than his 1st two, but it is his best produced album. And I like it better than T&Y, which is an accomplishment in itself.

Also, this is an introduction of a new character, a la Michael Young History. He's a slave named LongChains from the West Indies that was on the ship that sunk. Hence the accent on Gold Vs...
