It is more than just hits. It is also the placement of the hits. Alot of the artist have a order they go by. I dont think many had what lox had and that is have their DJ play songs to counter in the moment based off what dipset played.
Also stage presence now matters.
Also depends where they have the battle at because crowd reaction plays a part now. Down south, lil Wayne chances are increased. Up north, 50's chances are increased.
