Cause a "predator" is old enough and mature enough to be able to manipulate a 16 year olds mind and the way you talking....so cause a 16 year old can drive a car with a valid license than a grown ass man should be able to have sex with them?

18 is just the legal cut off in most states for how long you can protect them by law

OK now you're trolling or purposely misconstruing my words... If a 16 year old committed a hit and run that "they're too young to know better" shit wont fly WILL IT? NO! Keep the same energy. You let some arbitrary American consent age absolve all people under 18 of any wrong doing at all. Ridiculous. Why the fuck do you think some courts try minors as ADULTS? Sexual encounters are normal. Unless you die a virgin, we all have them.

We all have hormones and urges. And the older we get, the more control and wisdom we have over them

Younger, not so much. Young people use horrible judgement when it comes to sex because their hormones get the best of them.

Older people aware of this, and some seek out younger partners to take advantage of that fact.

18 is the age in most states that they can be legally protected from this kind of circumstance.
