Lifetime’s “Surviving R. Kelly” Docuseries(aka The #MeToo Summer Jam Screen series) Trailer

We not the face of everything negative you just believe we are. Drugs violence and poverty was the stereotypes they portrayed of us. Buuuuuut sex abuse was looked at as white people shit until real recently. And im assume you aimt pay attention to crackers because crackers are always on some shit. But Jared Fogle is a bigger pedo case Jerry Sandusky joe paterno the director dude Roman woody allen. All of them are the faces of sex crimes not to mention the whole catholic church. R kelly is just big for black people but he aint the first person that pops up when folks think sex abuse. Even after this.

That literally the only part we disagree on
When those white men are caught up people aren’t bringing up the white community they talk about what they do as individuals. The fact that you needed to bring up the black community proves the point. Me saying black people are the face of everything negative isn’t something I believe we are, it’s something that the media does to paint a negative light on black people. They use images and programs to set a narrative about black people.

I'm still lost as to how this is an attack on black men

Do my white co-workers look at me different because of this rkelly stuff?

When I say there is an issue bigger than R Kelly that needs to be addressed now see below that we know Kells is a monster what are we doing bout this below

Ok, maybe I've approached this from the wrong angle. Tell me Elzo, where, in your opinion should we start as it relates to the"bigger"issue

I get what they're trying to say but I don't agree with them in this situation. A percentage of black men are violent and white people paint all black men with that same brush. This situation the only black men being attacked is Kelly and the dudes who helped him.

The dudes who helped were on the documentary pointing fingers as well they should be persecuted as well

R Kelly had a lot of enablers and people who looked the other way cuz he was was the Golden ticket....

All guilty.

Society as a whole has failed young women over and over and over again.

There's a lot of guilt to be passed around, but that doesn't absolve kells at all...

By pointing out the monster he was, you in turn shed some light on how disgusting it is to be Person who sees, knows, and does nothing.

And the fucked up part is this shit goes wide and deep....

Most people ain't shit and have a compromised moral compass. Everything is conditional, every one has hypocritical tendencies and stories like this expose it every time.

I think this was my argument not too long ago on some religious shit...

I said why niggaz so hard on Christians when everybody can be pick and choosey on serious shit.

Niggaz who go super hard to shit on church niggaz trying to explain why it's okay to be a pedo is fucking hilarious if I do say so myself

Bring light to it to begin with for example instead of spending 3 days and 6 hours on R Kelly .....make a documentary that discusses pedophiles in the entertainment industry and then dedicate a portion of that to R Kelly...wasn’t Corey Haim talking bout old Hollywood execs molesting him when he was younger there are plenty more examples of such behavior out there.... by focusing on Kels we are limiting this conversation to just him....and great we know he’s a monster ain’t no one really did shit bout it then and ain’t no one gonna do shit now but run their mouths or fingers and then forget about it a week.... u broaden the scope u widen the discussion and u force some answers and remedies
