LeBron James, The Scoring Title, and The Corona Virus

I dig it.

If two players won the same amount of rings and one guy got to the finals more often and the other was getting swept out the playoffs early, what diff does a finals record make?

Other dude has a better finals record bc he lost earlier in the playoffs more.

Does it make one better than the other? Nah. Doesn't make a diff.

Nah, not to change sports but....

Tom Brady went to the Super Bowl 9X and won 6 of them. That's quite remarkable. Not just that he won 6X, but that he made it to the Super Bowl 9X says something about his career.

Just to contrast,

Joe Montana went to the Super Bowl 4X and won 4X

Terry Bradshaw went to the Super Bowl 4X and won 4X

John Elway went to the Super Bowl 5X and won 2X

Peyton Manning went to the Super Bowl 4X and won 2X

Eli Manning went to the Super Bowl 2X and won 2X

Jim Kelly went to the Super Bowl 4X and lost all 4

In my book John Elway is better than Peyton Manning because even though they both have 2 Super Bowl wins, John Elway went to the Superbowl on more time than Peyton.

People give way too much credit to Brady for getting to the Super Bowl all those times. The Patriots have always been in a perennially weak division and they always have a top tier defense. If you look it up, you'll see they have actually never won a Super Bowl when they've had the top ranked offense. Until that last SB run, they had actually never lost a Super Bowl when having the top ranked defense. Actually think about that, Brady has been on a team that has frequently had both the top rated offense and top rated defense. How the hell do people act like he was carrying the Patriots to the championship every year, when arguably the offense wasn't even the primary factory they were getting there?
