Bone is my fav rap grp and layzie is my fav member. But he has a habit of talkin alotta bs.

Its like he lives in a bone bubble.

And imo he really shouldnt be sayin shit cuz 95% of his solo shit is complete trash.

But that's all beside the point. If we really are just talking about hit for hit, and S&L did have a couple commercially viable tracks, then he's right it would be a bigger contributor to a Vs than 8D.

Based on objectively pure quality, Bone vs Wu is a preference thing. Both groups have their niche and know/knew how to knock shit out the park, all inconsistency and stuck in the 90s vibes aside. You could make a case for E1999 being the best album out of their combined discographies, or you could say Wu was a little more consistent in their later years... and it'll still come down to the wire song for song. As a Wu fan, native Brooklynite and extended family member, I'm a little biased to the Wu. I personally feel like they have a more identifiable and relatable sound. I'll even go as far as saying any 4 members aside from U-God and MK (tho U-God's Chessboxin verse and MK's No Said Date are classics) can go toe to toe with Bone with just their contributions. Rae/Ghost/GZA/Deck alone would be a problem.

The problem with Wu in a Vs is that a lot of their strong songs were never commercial hits. Songs like Reunited, Impossible, and MGM were strong offerings from the second album, but none of them were singles or used to generate commercial success.

Their later albums had heat, but again unless you were a Wu fan or general Hip Hop fan that liked the Wu, you might not even know about shit like this:
