Debate should be over. Kobe with Pau made everyone feel like LA was unstoppable. Lebron with Love has people asking how many more stars do they need to compete. Does anyone think a Kobe/Wade/Bosh team wouldn't have won more than 2 rings? Or that a Kobe/Love/Kyrie team wouldn't be running the league?

Lebron doesn't "set people up" though. He's ball-dominant and has everything running through him. This defacto turns other players into one-dimensional spot up shooters. Remember, Love was a 25/15 guy before he joined Lebron. Bosh was a beast before he teamed up with Lebron. Wade has to subjugate his game to play with Lebron. With Kobe he adapted his game to the roster. The way he player with Shaq was different from the Smush/Kwame teams, and then different with Pau. And all those players had their best seasons playing next to Kobe as a result.
I'll put it to you like this. Lebron and Kobe are level 10 players. Love and Pau were level 8 players in Minny/Memphis, but Pau was a level 9 with Kobe, while Love is a level 6 player with Lebron. Bron still can't play off the ball, or function in a traditional NBA system. More than any of these highschoolers, he needed some college coaching, and it's followed him around his whole career.
Pau's scoring average was higher before he went to the lakers which is understandable. He wasnt gonna come play next to kobe n be the dominant ball player.

I don’t understand how the weight of your argument can be about rings but you refuse to view those rings in terms of context and competition.
If we call Kobe’s first theee rings moot. Bron with Prime Shaq as the Alpha gets those too. Kobe without him doesn’t.
