Apparently this is a reoccurring thing according to the done right? At the end of the day these two grown men, so how long you let the disrespect slide? My parent's the only people in the world that'll get a pass or two scolding me at this age. But for it to be a regular thing? Lol, I wish any motherfucker would try that...blood or not.

I never had these types of convos with my father or stepfather 'cause I never got disrespectful with either of them and I understood that if I ever said "shut the fuck up" to either one then I had to prepare myself for the eventual on-sight knuckle down that was gonna happen should we ever cross paths again.

Nah... no man especially your father should be comfortable with the prospect of putting hands on you at the age of 33.

Throwing hands would have been the more appropriate move after the disrespect as opposed to leaking part of a recorded conversation. Son looking like every bit of the "bitch ass" he was called.

While I see where you are coming from and this is prob based on YOUR experiences and interactions with “religious folks” this is still a wild ass generalization.

As far as Kirk himself, he has always been an open book and doesnt put up a front of perfection he has so many honest interviews with the bfast club and Sway amongst others.

as far as this situation goes...his son is a fuck nigga supreme for basically trying to get his father crucified in the court of public opinion by posting this shit.

Me and my dad have a complicated relationship but I would NEVER EVER record and post any convo or argument we may have.

This will only drive the wedge between them even more.

I was lowkey disgusted at some of the first responses of this thread til I learned he was 33. If this was going on since childhood, maybe he reached his breaking point and wanted to serve his father a bit of poetic justice. I mean, his father's cash cow did die at 33 by the hands of His Father's negligence. I dunno... I'm a year older and currently going thru some family ish that's been bubbling since my childhood, but I'm not gonna expose that to social media. I'm just saying I'm not gonna judge how a grown man handles family business, even if it's public and oozing with typical Kirk Franklin zestiness.
 
Chill with the "eeegasp" outrage about Kirk. It wasn't too long ago that he admitted to Oprah that he had a porn problem at one time, so cussing a grown ass boy out is really not surprising. His son is literally a bitch ass nigga for exposing their conversation
