Alot of people stay below the line to keep it real or didn't want to be controlled.
But are those who crossed over not in control even tho they look like they are?

But can we not pretend Kev ain't take the most self depreciating roles. Other comics held out to get try to push for comics being more serious and not so buffoonish.
But if Kev bringing in numbers...why should they stop writing black comics into those roles?
But Kev eating...but the other comics are right too.

He's not blaming her. He's saying that he basically doesn't get how some Black female comedians that have a proven track record of being genuinely funny gets passed over for tv and movie deals by a chick the a track record of being "meh".

You mean like Zach Galifianakis and Ed Hems in the Hangover movies, or like 90% of Jim Carrey's filmography or damn near every film Adam Sandler has done. Those more serious and not so buffoonish roles?

That's Hollywood bruh. The shyt is trash when it comes to those type of roles. Now if Kev, Katt, or ANY black comedian was out there are takin roles where they're shuckin & jivin, then naw. Fucc that. Pass on that shyt.

Other than that, if they get a legit opportunity knockin at their door, why not take it? Again he AND Tiff got Emmys. Celebrate that shyt.

And maybe, just maybe on screen they wack AF. Just bcuz you a dope stand-up that means it will translate to you being a dope comedic actor or actress.

Kev said that in the interview too. Doesnt matter if ur reading a script, the person playing the role still gotta make it pop.

Other things come into factor with roles as well. Timing, auditioning, your team/management i mean shit isnt just black and white. Not everyone thats grinding is gonna get those opportunities but everyone who gets those opportunities is def grinding n not getting hand outs.

That's another folks need to understand. Only a handful are successful in makin that transition from comedy clubs to big screen.
