Oliver Luck: Colin Kaepernick's salary requirements were "exorbitant"
The XFL debuted this week with limited star power.profootballtalk.nbcsports.com
Kaep ain’t worth 20 million to sit the bench for a NFL team bruh.
he speaking on black issues ....ok cool.I talked to Nessa at some Hot 97 event a couple a years ago.. She Black & arabic.. But I really don’t know why that really matters.. Because she speaks out more about social justice than a lot full blooded Black Queens do.. The fact she’s willing to speak on those issues is what should matter.. Not that she’s only half black...
foh
heres the thing.....Ya, but people still feel bad for him for not being allowed to play football. And that multimillionaire thing doesn't help the martyr image, so he gave us this

You're worth what someone will pay you. NFL, XFL, CFL...who's giving him $20 mil/year? And he's asking for more money than an entire roster. If you're valuing yourself out of finding any employment, you're over valuing yourself.
you have a point but how are you going to a second tier league with top tier requests? So you’re saying Kap should lower his price for a second-tier football league which may not be around in a year or two.. So they then can then turn around and make tons a money off using his likeness plus all the merchandise sales they will make off him.. Also the networks are going to make sure they maximize their advertising dollars.. They’ll get when they have Kap’s games on.. So Kap shouldn’t take any of that in account when assessing his worth.. He should just accept whatever the XFL offers him.. And not think about all the revenue that will generated off his presence alone...
I don’t like how his guys diss the players that’s doing the same thing Kaep is doing or even more because they not doing it their way

they dont have the nfl budget.
you not going to go from ceo of xerox to ceo of a mom and pop corner store and demand the same salary an be surprised when they look at you funny.
so its not about what hes worth...is more about where hes trying to work.
What players are doing what did Kap or more.. I haven’t seen any NBA or NFL players speaking these pigs killing niggas recently.. Or even speaking out against police brutality at all recently.. There was an unarmed black man who got killed last week execute style while handcuffed.. I haven't seen any players using their various platforms to speak out against that or something similar to that situation at all...
I gotta stop typing while driving, I break thought mid sentence then repeat myself
so why would kap think he different?Vince McMahon is billionaire who has the backing of Fox & ESPN.. This isn’t some mom and pop type of deal.. He doesn’t want pay Kap his worth because he wants keep the wages down to minimize his costs.. He does the same thing with wrestling business...
