JONATHAN MAJORS FOUND GUILTY IN NYC FOR ASSAULTING WOMAN



If you're pulling character witnesses and the only person who can confirm good things about you is somebody you knew from 13-18 and you're in your 30s now and everyone after that is saying the opposite that's a not good
 
So we really going to act like there aern't niggas in this world that are just unpleasant to be around?

I don't know if dude is bad or not. I do know we've seen dudes get falsely accused and everyone they know comes out to defend them. With this case, he got accused and the general sentiment seemed to be "Yeah, that sounds about right." You'd have to be pretty naive to believe that him not being guilty in this particular case exonerates him from all accusations.

And that brings about a question of if someone hasn't been legally convicted of a crime but there still may be something showing a negative pattern of behavior how should that be dealt with. Whether a court of law should be the only way people are held accountable for their actions has always been an ongoing debate.

And if those statements really are fake I'd imagine his attorney would face some sort of discipline for that

Exactly, and I'm not saying he should. I don't like the fact that all the people came out talking shit when they thought he was going down. I hate the tendency a lot of people have these days to try and pile on when it looks like someone is in trouble. That said, some people do legit have some fucked up ways about them, and regardless of how this particular case shakes out for him, he'll still probably have a stigma attached.

Courts of law aren't the only way that people are held accountable. If you wild out at your job, you might not go to jail for it but you damn sure can be fired. That's why I don't know how to take most of the accusations against him. It ain't like this dude is some superstar. He's on the rise. You would think that if he was really ackin-a-ass before he even really had a name that he wouldn't have been able to climb up the way he's doing.

I think it’s more people that are not good people to be around than the other way.

And you are right, being not guilty of this don’t make him not guilty of other things.

You would think so. Most people asshole, abusive and being a jerk stories come from after they get famous not on the way up. That's what makes the witness statement shit so confusing. Like not 1 person who knew this man from before he was famous can speak good on him? That's crazy.

One could say the same for Insider magazine whose entire article came from Majors lawyer. Both articles about him this week are from two polar opposite povs. One focuses on just one case and the other on what's being said to be a pattern of behavior. It's actually just what people ask for which is to be given all the information. Can't dislike it when it's information that goes against what we wanna believe in him not being the person he's being made out to be. Take it all in and go from there
 


If he really is method acting then he might need to find a new way to go about prepping for roles. There's also a really good quote about how you never hear about people method acting for happy roles. Only dark depressing or evil ones that end of pissing off their coworkers and staff on set. Alot of actors hate it and don't work with other actors who use that method.

He ain't the first to do that. I think damn near every actor that has ever played the Joker has gone the method acting route and been complained about because of it. lol
