Who actually thought that killing the leader of a cartel was going stop the cartel? They basically just kicked a hornets nest and then left the innocent people in the vicinity to deal with the fallout. This is crazy. Nobody wants the cartels around, but there is a reason the Mexican military hasn't just started attacking them out of nowhere. It seems like the Mexican government played ball with Trump to keep him from going to war with them, and now they've put their own citizens in danger.

I don't know that anything needed to be done right this minute. I will say that we've already seen what happens when they cut the heads off the snake when it comes to these cartels. At the very least, it shouldn't have been just about getting one guy.
