Welcome To aBlackWeb

Im not trying to start trouble....but

There's probably also a lot of us that don't feel the need to talk about what we have and what we do all the time.
ok....this is the question i have about this.....

when you turn on the TV its usually a black man doing bad shit or getting rich doing bad shit or walking away in cuffs on cops or on first 48.
turn on the radio, you hear...wear a dress, shoot a nigga, fuck his bitch.

so our kids and youngins see and hear this and thats the image they have of themselves since its people that look like them that are saying this or them seeing it.

so why would it be more important to not show that you are not like what they see on tv vs showing them our people can do better?

Like said Nas "I like looking like I'm broke" but I understand that could be a motivation for others. Cats like yourself @Goldie and @Sion are the ones that should be doing more far as the motivation thing goes. Goldie and yourself are business owners Sion with the stock game. That can motivate people not just the ABW but real people.
man...i always look broke. and i like it like that.
it lets me know who thinks with their eyes and who thinks with their mind.
as far as motivating people.....i had a very bad experience a while back......and said im not doing that shit no more. big argument, i asked a nigga to fight, i shoved another dude....smdh.
i had to fall back and worry about myself for a while.
im still working with kids but ...yea

lol you think the media chooses to portray black people as poor, violent, ignorant criminals because we simply don't stunt enough?

I dont know why success is measured by all that.

This is kind of like that thread about the two chicks from yesterday where one chick was pushing her definition of blackness and looking down on chicks that didnt agree.

Not everyone gotta go in kill shit financially. Its middle class peoppe way happier than rich people and vice versa too.

I aint about to take my personal definition of success and hold people to it.

This post is different than what you stated in the opening. Your thread premise made it seem like why aren't people showing and talking about the positive moves they making on ABW.

Now it seems what you really meant or asking is are people showing the youngins locally where they live that there are black people out here getting money legally just like the hustlers they see getting money.

Brother, some people have a fear of success and others have a fear of maintaining success.

These fears will keep them stuck in a cubicle breathing nasty ass office air as an employee, instead of conquering those fears, taking a chance and becoming an EMPLOYER.

Failure doesnt hurt, doesnt come with pain, just a tendency to wound ones ego.

I took that jump in my mid 30's
with 3 kids and a wife, hhad plenty more to lose than most these EMPLOYEE'S.

Yall have no excuse to not be doing what you love.

Get out of your own self inflicted hostage situation.

Nah,

According to Dos we should be bragging and standing on the corner telling other niggas how ain't shit they are and bragging on how we flying from Europe to America 8x a year

The idiot

naw.

Its a lot of factors.

Oppurtunity.

Education and Resources.

Desire and Discipline.

I never had the interest or desire to play in the stock market like sion.

Or even to start my own biz. Doesnt mean im not motivated to succeed. Im doing my thing in the Corporate IT realm.

We need to represented EVERYWHERE. not just as entrprenures cause errbody aint built for that life cuh

This x100.

not everyone has the desire to be an entrepreneur.. thats number 1

two there are people that have the desire and have negative motivational factors.. and just arent capable but they have the capital...

but the bottom line and whats more important is that you are not comfortable.

play on playa

I see this being said more and more these days and I can help but think this saying came from some "motivational speakers" looking to sell more seminars and books. Then was further promoted by real estate agents, car salesman, hedge fund managers & stock brokers. All of those people I listed dont get paid when your "comfortable". You living in a constant state of discomfort or a bubble of toxic ambition, funds their dreams and lifestyle.

who said finanicially?

you said that...not me.

interesting the themes yall coming up with.

i mentioned @Goldie because he started the site......did i say he was getting money from it?
or did you think i did because i mentioned sion and what elzo was wear?

you said all that and didnt answer the question....which was are we too comfortable.
that has nothing to do with money......are you too comfortable to not grow...

funny how @Cain got this immediately and spoke about what not to do to be able to grow.
even @BDP kinda got it and mentioned how hes growing.

now...who spoke about money?

something i read a while ago on this site had me thinking for a while.

as i post and read posts i think i found some kinda truth to what was implied.

like i said...im not trynna start trouble but...
if i take @konceptjones out of this equation.
other than @The Mad Titan and @Black_Samson
what other african americans on this site are doing there thing?
seems to me...first or second generation people from other places are killing it or moving on up like the jeffersons.
why did it take @Goldie to make this site before the other hood went down? and fuck that BB place. they dont count.
why and how did @Elzo69Renaissance get to where he is, wearing ferret scarves and two apartments in chicago?
why is @Sion one of the few stock, real estate and business minded people here?

Am i seeing something wrong here? was this person right about what they implied?

Are too many of us comfortable where we are?

and dont kill the messenger.

boy shut up

in the premise i ask are we too comfortable.....

sometimes we get too comfortable with where we are and dont strive to grow.
ui used the younging as an example of what they could be seeing and what we as their elders should be showing them.

Nah,

yet another dumbass....
bruh....who said bragging?
why does being a dude kids can look up have to be about bragging.

Can't speak for these other cats but I'm always showing people how to get money. I grew up in poverty worked my way up to have some things. Got a few properties, own a few vehicles, taking care of my parents home and all their bills.

To all young people on this site fuck college get yourself certified in something technical ie CCNA,CCNP CCISP and go make yourself a quick 100k. Slide into nursing get your RN and become a travel nurse make a quick 100k and see the world on their dime. Learn a hustle that matters change it up a little resell it back to the customers and boom you're making money. Get in the house flip game and become a wholesaler make you a easy 5-15k a month.

You have to change your mindset as well. Don't blow money on J's blow money on Nike stock. Rebuild your credit if you got a closet full of designer clothing but your credit score is under 600 your hustle is backwards. If you need help with that I'll point you in the right direction.

Said all that to say this......"doing your thing" or "getting it" is subjective. I'll be retiring from all forms of work in 4 more years but some cats will be still "getting it".
Goat shit right there, put me on to game.
