something i read a while ago on this site had me thinking for a while.

as i post and read posts i think i found some kinda truth to what was implied.

like i said...im not trynna start trouble but...
if i take @konceptjones out of this equation.

what other african americans on this site are doing there thing?
seems to me...first or second generation people from other places are killing it or moving on up like the jeffersons.
why did it take @Goldie to make this site before the other hood went down? and fuck that BB place. they dont count.
why and how did @Elzo69Renaissance get to where he is, wearing ferret scarves and two apartments in chicago?
why is @Sion one of the few stock, real estate and business minded people here?

Am i seeing something wrong here? was this person right about what they implied?

Are too many of us comfortable where we are?

Its a lot of factors.

Oppurtunity.

Education and Resources.

Desire and Discipline.

I never had the interest or desire to play in the stock market like sion.

Or even to start my own biz. Doesnt mean im not motivated to succeed. Im doing my thing in the Corporate IT realm.

We need to represented EVERYWHERE. not just as entrprenures cause errbody aint built for that life cuh

welp....im not just speaking on entrepreneurs......i am speaking of doing the thing regardless.

congratz if you getting it....but i have a question.
are you planning on going to management levels?
 
I am only speaking for myself and I probally shouldnt but I am and will always be viewed as white trash, and have always been treated as such...no matter what i do its always been talked down to or belittled, oh ain't that cute kinda shit when I have an idea....this isnt what the thread was about so I should have just shut up but I got my dad dying in front of my eyes I already lost my mom, I'm stressed the fuck out and its gonna be Christmas SOON? My dad has lost most of his vocab, its just THEIF AND FAG.....on top of that i have to pick him up off the ground and stay here cause i cant leave him, piss everywhere all the time.........this is real life and anyone that thinks this is to be funny it isn't .....i'm losing my father and its hard its just me an him and has been for a long time, I have an aunt but she can't stomach the everyday stuff....I shouldnt have responded sorry
 
Can't speak for these other cats but I'm always showing people how to get money. I grew up in poverty worked my way up to have some things. Got a few properties, own a few vehicles, taking care of my parents home and all their bills.

To all young people on this site fuck college get yourself certified in something technical ie CCNA,CCNP CCISP and go make yourself a quick 100k. Slide into nursing get your RN and become a travel nurse make a quick 100k and see the world on their dime. Learn a hustle that matters change it up a little resell it back to the customers and boom you're making money. Get in the house flip game and become a wholesaler make you a easy 5-15k a month.

You have to change your mindset as well. Don't blow money on J's blow money on Nike stock. Rebuild your credit if you got a closet full of designer clothing but your credit score is under 600 your hustle is backwards. If you need help with that I'll point you in the right direction.

Said all that to say this......"doing your thing" or "getting it" is subjective. I'll be retiring from all forms of work in 4 more years but some cats will be still "getting it".

I want to be Director of IT or Chief Security Officer by 38.

Just made 33...

With this particular company I got promoted to lead Tech within a month of being there...my office got moved to the Corporate HQ. So im in there with the Exectutives and Owners...

I stay in the current IT Directors office just soaking up game...

Right now a college degree for me is a personal goal...just to finish what I started.

Getting ready to build a house on some land I inherited and keeping the current home Im in as an income property...

Niggas out chea “getting it” a lot of us just dont advertise b...

Like said Nas "I like looking like I'm broke" but I understand that could be a motivation for others. Cats like yourself @Goldie and @Sion are the ones that should be doing more far as the motivation thing goes. Goldie and yourself are business owners Sion with the stock game. That can motivate people not just the ABW but real people.

I feel you on the degree being a personal thing. Lol I got 3 of them. Looking back it knowing what I know I wouldn't have done it and got myself certified back then.

Goat for getting that land. Our people really don't understand how important land is. You can give that to your kids and their kids. Use it to buy things make money off of it.
