I thought you was the one who said you sleep in your contacts all the time.

here is a visual:

my left eye looked exactly like this when looking out of it. I immediately went to the hospital and was told i have an ulcer on my cornea and its a medical emergency. I was given antibiotics and was referred to a specialist. today i went in to see the eye doctor and he told me my infection was pretty bad, even though cornea ulcers can happen to anyone, there are various types and mines was pretty ummm... “aggressive”
he explained to me that in order to save my eye he has to scrape my cornea and remove all the bad cells, then stick a needle in it to relieve pressure and apply antibiotics straight to the area of infection. If he didnt take this route, the chances of me regaining my vision was 0
YALL THAT SHIT HURT LIKE A BITCH!!!

so now im on 3 sets of antibiotics every two hrs (even thru sleep ?) and have a follow up appointment thurs
im not looking for well wishes. i just wanted to let you know that it is important to NOT sleep in your contacts.
Take your contacts out every 8 hrs because you are putting yourself at risk for developing a pretty nasty infection.
I know accidents happen but trust me, you dont want to lose your vision.
I hope I am able to see again fairly soon but if not, it is what it is.
Life is full of so many twist and turns. Be thankful for every moment and try to complain less about little things because it only takes one moment in time for your life to change drastically.
I love my life either way, impaired or not so even with one eye imma stil talk my shit (sorry fellas) :tuh:
and imma still enjoy everything this world has to offer as long as theres breath in my body
anyways peace and love and even if im a ”bitch” i still wouldnt want you to go thru this whatsoever
be blessed ❣
Sending positve vibes and prayers your way @Race Jones i know that shit had to be scary.
I've always wanted contacts because i hate wearing nerdy ass glasses but at the same time ive always been scared of something like this happening. I'ma definitely stick w/ the glasses now
I've been told you shouldn't sleep in your contacts or go swimming with them. I've only ever taken some naps with them and then woke up to my eyes dry as hell lol
Did they put you to sleep during it or just numb your eye?
Hope it all goes well for you
I remember accidentally scratching my cornea while taking out my contacts....shit was crazy I woke up w dried eye boogers covering my entire eye......it hurts so much to even open my eyes....luckily my eye doctor handled his business and fixed it...got a little scar in my shit til this day
Prayers. I've always been the person to say eff contacts cause I don't like messing with my eyes. Was gone get some after the pandemic slows down cause I want to wear sunglasses but now idk. Just think positive thoughts on some ole dorothy I wish I was home and click your heels three times.
I know those antibiotics making u feel weird or off as hell. Outside a simple Zpack that shit makes me feel crazy and I know you got to be on strong ones.1 antibiotic every two hrs even thru sleep
another one every 4 hrs even thru sleep
and an oral tablet once a day
corneal ulcers are thee devil!
That's cringeworthy right there lolThey numbed my eye but the pressure of the scalpel as he scrapped my eye was unbearable!!!!!
