OPINION How Many? #1 (Kyrie Irving)

Russ did nothing of note as a #1 option

Never won a playoff series

Idc about the MVP that wasn’t deserved

Russ and Kyrie not that far off to me. Bump Russ down and put Kyrie at 14 if you want.

To me Russ in his prime was more unstoppable. But they both like right there. Pick one to go over the other and the difference is only a bit.

Yall are going to make defend Westb tonight and Im not happy about that at all

Take away Russ's MVP.....say he finished 3rd or 4th that year instead.......KYRIE HAS NEVER RECEIVED A VOTE

In an 82 game season your floor is much higher with Westbrook than Kyrie...... itll be ugly but he could drag you to 41 wins and be the 8th seed

Kyrie can't do that....and if you want to take longevity into consideration you have to take health and availability as well

If Kyrie isnt shooting lights out and scoring the ball he is literally giving you nothing thats why he cant be your number one option on a good team....he doesn't create for others at a high level and he cant be an engine that you build your offense around

I’m going based on pure basketball talent

I think Kyrie >>>

Kyrie is bascially an efficient version of Jamal Crawford who can get to the rim and finish

Which isnt a bad player....but people have to relax when they talk about how someone impacts winning and the game on a night to night basis

If someone came to you and said we're starting a team.....who have no idea who else is going to be on the squad but you can have Cade, Haliburton or peak Kyrie as your best player.........you would take peak Kyrie?
Considering Cade isn’t in his prime and Haliburton just got into his but then had a major injury

I’m taking peak Kyrie

This also isn’t a great question to ask due each of the 3 being different kinda players and you might go with the most versatile skillset if you’re starting a team

But this isn’t a you’re starting a team kinda thread so…😌

Cade and Haliburton both have already proven they're better running a team and being a number option

They dont have to hit their peak....they've already demonstrated that I would rather have them as my best player even over Kyrie at his best

Yall got it though...yall really mesmerized by those handles, finishes and that game 7 shot lolol

Better is a term that gets construed

But I’ll name players I rather have at PG over him all time and just does more on the court to win games. I’ll just give the maximum amount of 10 for this series if the player is not top 10 at his position to me. No order

Curry
Lillard
CP3
Kidd
Magic
Russ
Zeke
Luka
Shai
Brunson (yea I said it)

Dope thread idea.

We have to come up with a consensus definition of the term "better" when we do all these rankings and tourneys.

What is championship Kyrie?
What do you mean?

Yo did you niggas forget what he did to the warriors? Down 3-1? You've literally never seen anything like that before. They will tell you he was the best player on the court.

Pretty sure I just seen a video of iguodala saying that shit. Im trying to find it right now but...

Game 1: 26 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists

Game 2: 10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists

Game 3: 30 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assists

Game 4: 34 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists

Game 5: 41 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists

Game 6: 23 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists

Game 7: 26 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists

Yeah. Championship Kyrie. Tf.
