I wouldnt want my lively hood dependant on anyone. Not my girl, parents or any one else. It is not even about control in the relationship. As a partnership, we should be able to help each other when need be. If she got let go from her job or hurt to where she cant work for a while, that would cripple both our lifestyles. If we both bringing in income, the other can hold the weight until the person that is currently down, gets back up.
