OPINION Has Ryan Coogler Surpassed Spike Lee?

Culturally speaking as far as impact...Spike still holds that title. But one could make a good arguement for Coogler that's he's surpassed him. If anything, he's the next heir. I think only time will tell to see how his movie catalogs holds up, just like Spike.
