Irrational: the world ending (natural disasters, airborne diseases, nuclear bombs, etc.) or getting shot by a gun. oh! and being alone in pitch darkness...-turns night light on-

A lot of dying in this thread. I think those should be moved to irrational, because we all are gonna die and there isn't anything you can do about it

Half the time i drop my kid off at school i cant help but think of school shootings.

Rational: I've always had a deep fear of abandonment from childhood traumas.

Irrational: Birds. I'm convinced that this demon species are plotting their attack and I don't want to be a victim.

I've drove into and parked in a many parking lots and then immediately backed out and left if there were too many birds flying around in the area.

Rational: sleeping through my alarm

Irrational: being blown up.
Filing a propane tank? I'm tfo there. Problem with furnace? I'm tfo while it's getting fixed. Some burning smell under the hood? I'll walk the rest of the way.

I figure that fear mixed with my odd love for fighter jets I must have been blown up in a past life while flying or something cuz there is no logical reason for either.
