He said many times he was willing to do anything to save Padme.

Guess he wasn’t lying.

And I guess once he turned on the Jedi and killed his wife/kid, who else was he going to ride with? Guess he could have just went into exile, but we know he’s a needy dude. He can’t be alone.

Edit
And Y TF is the acting so bad and cheesy? Were they directed to do this on purpose? Natalie Portman and Ewan McGregor are not bad actors.

Apparently it was like that by design. Lucas wanted something that he thought would stand the test of time...instead its only gotten cornier and cheesier.

And i disagree with him about the OT. If you rewatch them, they were definitely 80's movies in style, dialogue, all of that....thats what made them so great and authentic.

You know the silliest thing about Star Wars to me. When you watch the OG Trilogy, people talk about the Jedi and the Force like we talk about supposed wizards hundreds of years ago. when in reality its been less than 30 years since they've been gone.

Why the hell do so many people act like the Jedi are crazy mythological figures when many of the people in the story are old enough to remember when the Jedi were roaming the galaxy and fighting a war?

I feel the same way, but if I’m playing devils advocate, maybe the Jedi were really only known to those that fought in wars. And most of those people were droids and clones before order 66.

I guess if something goes extinct and 20 years later it would feel like it's a loner time than what it is.

Why we never blame Yoda for Order 66, that dude had visions of it happening and he saw Mace Windu die and all the other jedi get killed and he never told anyone.
