ESPN: The Last Dance ('98 Bulls Doc)

Off topic, but this video is pretty crazy.

I knew MJ was better than people give him credit for being when he was on the Wizards, but this argument makes a good case for how good he was then.

Fuck all that.

I was born in 82.

I remember Doc retiring, The Bad Boys whippin ass, the GOAT Kareem getting his rocking chair, and Mike beating Barkley’s ass in Philly (with wack ass Hershey Hawkins and Johnny Dawkins) during the playoffs before all these rings started poppin off.

Now, we got Craig Hodges slander in here. ABW is the IC reborn with the Mike starfuckery, I swear.

I'll debate you this weekend MJ vs Kareem. The loser has to leave this site forever. Challenge?

Lol I'm pretty sure you've done this same challenge in the past and he never took it
Lol. I'm so lazy. I would just make a poll and let the results do the rest. The only reason i give him shit is bcuz he ain’t even seen Kareem be Kareem and he swear if a nigga thinks MJ was a better player its bcuz of Nike or the media. He's a Sixers fan so i let alot of shit go but he should stick to playing the tuba and leave the old school shit to the old schoolers. For instance how you gonna debate about Moses and the 83 Sixers when you was born in 82? Foh.

i guess its my turn

i remember watching the 93 playoffs/finals and every playoffs/finals after that and remember seeing the big key moments when they happened live. I couldnt tell you shit else like who Pippen was guarding down the stretch or none of that

I remember more of the cartoon with Jordan, Bo Jackson and Wayne Gretzky over Jordan's early career

BJ Armstrong old enough to be my father and look younger than me

Bruh I remember arguing with my older brother up and down how important BJ Armstrong was to those Bulls teams lol. I have no clue why but i felt like he was underrated as fuck and I remember being happy as hell when he left the Bulls for the Warriors and came back and dropped like 34 one night

They probably would've got the 6 straight but I don't think they would've ran it to the 97-98 season. Probably would've have gotten that 72 win season either.

Gotta remember before the 1st 3 peat, the previous 2-3 season they was getting to the ECF, that's 82 games plus at least 3 rounds of playoff. that was gonna catch up to them at some point.

Unless they somehow magically came up with a solution for Hakeem then they might not have gotten 6 straight. Phil Jackson has said they had nothing to stop The Dream down low

Stop it, I'm not going to tell anyone that they don't remember something that they experienced.
So you're just gonna ignore science and research huh

You one of those cats huh

Like I said, I'ma let you live

You keep coming in here quoting me but ain't saying nothing. If people say they remember who is anybody to say that they don't. I remember kindergarten and first grade stuff but it's impossible to remember watching a particular sporting event

no one is debating if someone remembers watching an event, but the joke, which i thought was clear as day was people trying to remember the shit in great detail.

thats like someone our age saying they remember all 72 games the bulls won that season. You watched a few, yeah, but you weren't immersed in it like you are now is the point Beta been getting at the last few pages.

@Revolver Ocelot

there are thousands of studies that go into great detail about what we are able to retain as memories as children vs things that were "planted" as memories.

the brain is still developing so certain areas of the brain that store long term memories haven't fully developed

A lot of people that claim to have super super early childhood memories had them planted by people older than them who can recall the events in greater detail. They essentially plant the memories in your mind to the point that you think you actually remembered when it happened but you don't. Again, not to say you dont remember maybe say what you were wearing but even that can be influenced by you looking at the same pictures from that event over and over again over time.

Let The Dream eat, and lock down everybody else.

Exactly. You don't have to stop a player to beat a team. Lots of teams couldn't stop Dream, and he wasn't averaging 50 pts a game. Basically, him and MJ would cancel each other out and the question would be which team had the better supporting cast.
