Erykah Badu Trying To Cancel Rappers (Update: She's Not)

Speak on that man in context or don't speak on him at all.

You aren't born enlightened and you don't get the luxury of a short road to enlightenment. He went through alot in a short amount of time and instead of being able to live out his journey, he was murdered.

The road to knowledge is paved with ignorance. Don't be so judgemental that you forget how confused you were while figuring out truth from falsehood.

People say that 2Pac was like Malcolm X. 2Pac was nothing like Malcolm X. He was more like Huey P Newton, confused, seeking attention, and d'void of strategy.

It's nice that you found a clip of him saying something that made sense, unfortunately I could find twice as many Youtube clips of 2Pac acting ignorant and foolish. If you want to go Youtube clip for Youtube clip, I bet I could find more clips of 2Pac acting like an idiot than you could find clips of Pac saying something intelligent.

1. He beat up the Hughs Brothers on the Menace To Society set.

2. He spit at the reporters outside of the courthouse when he was on trial for rape.

3. He kicked Orlando Anderson when he was down at that casino

4. He made a record saying he f*cked Biggie's wife, which she denies.

I'm sure if I looked hard enough I could find more. Bottom line, you can't be a positive role model while spitting at reporters or kicking people when they're down.

Everything he said and did that was positive was outweighed by all the stupid things he did.

I think he meant well, but he wasn't qualified to be a leader. He was naive, made rash decisions, and didn't think anything all the way through. He had no idea how a civilized society worked and tried to do things his own way and failed miserably. 2Pac is a perfect example of how NOT to be a revolutionary.

It's like how KRS One tried to be a conscious rapper and uplift the community and then he beat up Prince B and threw him off the stage. That's not being conscious, that's being stupid.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. You can either be a socially conscious person, or be a thug. But you can't be both because it's impossible, and 2Pac proved beyond all reasonable doubt that it's impossible.

2Pac was like a crack dealer donating money to the church.

now let’s list ur accomplishments

Upon whose scale are his positives and negatives being weighed? Yours?

If you want to condemn him, that's on you. But the world's love of Tupac outweighs your condemnation of him. Take it or leave it alone.

No, even better ask him to list his faults cause it's something about internet interactions that make people think they are in a position of a moral judge while their robes of anonymity hides their own failures.

Of course Pac is compared to Malcolm.

Pac was embraced by Khalid Muhammad, student of Louis Farrakhan, student of Malcolm and Elijah Muhammad, teacher of Malcolm.

Pac rapped early on about knowing the history of men like Malcolm and Marcus Garvey.

Pac rose to the height of popularity in pop culture while being pulled in opposite directions: the love of his people and the vices of fame and money. That is more than you can say for anyone in his era not named Nas and even his impact has not been as consequential as Pac, at least not yet. So in terms of articulating the pain and love for black people in music and speeches and interviews, no one in rap has mirrored Malcolm to the degree of Pac.

That's not to downplay Nas, Chuck D, Ice Cube, or anyone else as they all play their part.

Damn good point I can’t refute this

He never said it happened in prison. You added that to the story. This took place in his hometown.
