I thought this too until did some work with some non profits...simply unbelievable the work they did with such little funds.

And there's alot more ppl that use them than you think. It could be a someone that lost income and in between residences...they just need a place to stop for the night without being on the street...

Biggest thing is to research who youre giving money (or time volunteering) away to.
