Do You Give Your Kids Whoopings?

I mean c'mon. Were you really expecting the father to do anything? Lol!

Now a black father and son...nah. I've done seen too many videos where the son was ONLY joking and almost got sent to the upper room by his dad. Lol
 
do what is necessary to give ur kids proper discipline

but the main point is that ur kids understand u r willing to go there if u feel necessary

it takes a certain maturity to really distinguish between fear and respect

it's like a last resort for me. i do a lot of talking, fussing, reasoning, taking toys/electronics, i've even done dietary punishments

sometimes they don't get it until it gets physical

also, there's a difference between a beating, whooping, and a spanking. i've only ever given a spanking, i got beat as a child lol
 
I put belt to ass on my son one time when he was in kindergarten acting up in class and not listening. I never had to discipline like that again. He's 22 now and has been a stand-up young man with no behavioral issues at all
 
I spanked my kids a couple times when they were younger, but as soon as they were able to communicate better and understand consequences, I stopped. My girls are good. I don't really have to punish them, and when I do, taking their tablets is usually enough.

Hell, my eldest still remembers one spanking I gave her and brings up all the time like it's something I did to her everyday.
 
Some kids need them, some don't. Just like some people need to be micromanaged at work even though they are grown ass adults aware of their responsibilities.

Yeah my son and oldest daughter swear they got whooped all the time, lol. I’m like y’all perception of all the time is woefully skewed.
 
I only had to whoop my oldest a couple times. Had to put foot to ass when he was 16 and thought he was grown. I've never had to give my youngest a whooping....

Nah I think women might need to do so with boys because once they start feeling themselves they can get out of pocket. And that shit can spiral quick. Better to lead with shock and awe to get their mental right because physically there’s not much a woman can do with a teenage boy.

This reminds me of this chick from around the way did this to her son.

She's pretty af, mad sweet, very girly.... BUT if you knew her when we was kids... Like 7- 23, you KNEW with all absolute knowledge, this was not the chick to run fades with. She's a dog walked many grown men when she was in her teens... Like really beat people the fuck up. Well.....

Her son didn't know. At 16, he found out.... And we all could have told him.... Bruh.... You can try people... But not your mama..... Lawd not your mama, I'll try Kimbo Slice before I try your mama.

My youngest sibling probably only ever got whooped twice, as she rarely did anything to warrant a whooping. I probably had ten total if you count auntie whoopings. Hell, when i was 7 I gave myself one, and my mom just looked at me and shook her head. Once I was old enough to hit my mom with the Antwon Fisher and say "no more!", she knew i was too big for all that.

But my middle (younger) sister... this girl probably got a couple hundred whoopings. This girl had been whooped since diapers probably. It never worked. I remember being a teen and telling my mom to stop whooping her because they did nothing. She would actually behave worse. She didn't fear an ass whooping. She didn't fear consequences. Still that way for the most part.

Yeah the second born always rebellious. My oldest daughter never warranted a lot of whoopings, but compared to her siblings, she definitely be pushing boundaries.

Ehh not always. I wasn't rebellious towards my Dad. For the thread though no I don't beat my kids. I've popped my oldest, my youngest is 7 months, but my oldest son has been popped before when he gets out of line but for the most part just restricting him from something he enjoys works to course correct.

I will say though, especially after having kids, the whole "You can't tell somebody how to raise their kids" mantra is bullshit. Don't nobody got all the answers to parenting. And you raising people that gotta go out into the world and interact with other people. The idea that nobody can tell you how to parent your child but you is just silly.
