This is a bit nuances. I do think respectability politics is a losing game. But it's not respectability politics to be aware of how somebody else's actions may affect how you are viewed. I don't think it applied in terms of Diddy because the average Black man ain't a billionaire flying women in and out. But the general idea of being aware that your actions can affect the perception of someone else is and should be a consideration when certain things happen
