Puff deserves to go to jail, so if it happens, I don't really care, but I feel like he's being railroaded.

He's about to get convicted because he was into some nasty shit, and that's not what he's on trial for.

They got him on prostitution/transportation qso far. They showed bank records and texts that he was paying/approving everything through his company's accountant. Sex trafficking is gonna be a toss up.

But I believe it's like 2 of 8 different charges they need to get him on the Rico conviction.

He's not being railroaded. Like the tory case people don't actually understand the charges. But thats okay. His fate won't be decided on the internet.

No I get all that. Like I said, he deserves to go to jail.

I'm saying he's being railroaded for the reason you mentioned. The jurors are people just like the people on the internet. There is a good chance they wouldn't understand the charges and would let him go off of star power. That type of thing happens all the time. So the prosecution is basically using testimony and now videos to disgust the jury and get them to convict Puff off that. What purpose does showing the freakoffs serve other than tainting the jury?

lol No it's not. The prosecution's job is to present the facts of the case and convince the jury that he's guilty of the crimes that he's actually being charged for. Using prejudicial material to manipulate the jury into voting against the defendant whether they believe he's actual guilty of the charges or not is nasty work.

I don't know how it works up in Canada but part of the problem with the legal system in the U.S. is that prosecutors only care about winning. It's a game to them, so they pull out whatever tactics they can to get the W. It's easy to look at this case and think it's ok because Puff is a piece of shit and deserves to be punished. The problem is this kind of thing isn't limited to Puff. There are plenty of innocent black people in jail because prosecutors used these same fucked up tactics.

I don't live up there, so I don't know how the system works up there. Shit there might legitimately be better. If you lived down here, you'd know how stupid what you just said is. Shit that shouldn't happen in court cases happens all the time because corruption is rampant and other factors (e.g., prestige associated with a case) come into play.

This freakoff shit is obviously prejudicial. The benefit of showing homemade porn in trying to prove prostitution or trafficking is outweighed by how much it poisons the well. The judge has the discretion to keep a lot of this shit out, but I feel like that's not being done because people want the spectacle.

Yes on Monday during summary. His accountant is about lose her license for sure.

They're in the summary part of the trial now so everything from texts to bank statements are being viewed. Everything from drugs to plane tickets went through his accountant. They've proved that the last 2 days without a doubt.

The courts have always been corrupt. Puff should be convicted, but if he's convicted, it will likely be due to the jury being more repulsed by the sex acts than because they believe he's guilty of the crimes he actually committed. I wouldn't call him a victim, but there are others in jail that have been victimized because of how our courts system works. Again, you don't give a shit because you don't live here, but some of us do and have seen firsthand why this type of thing is bad.
