I think we have a deep culture and that we are doing more not to blend in and less worrying about being accepted by other cultures. We still want respect but i think we are becoming more ok with not being liked.

For example ghetto names we used to hate and say it had no meaning. Now we realize that those names are legit they are made for us by us. We realize culture is always changing.

Our “culture” is whatever that was conditioned into us by the dominant society, it’s not really ours. That’s like living in your parents house, even if they eat your food what can you truly do about it? It was never really yours. So when we come up with anything it’s easy for them to take it.

Black americans only ones who think like this. People get conquered and subjugated all throughout history almost every ethnic group has dealt with slavery. But Africans in the americas the only ones without a unique culture? Thats insulting. You gonna deny naming, dialect, style, music and foods? Every definition of culture includes those things and black americans have all those things.

but i think we need to keep it real....

what are we considering culture?

while names are ok......but is it cultural or people trying to be cool?
our style....is it more of a swag because its effortless or a style because we are trying to look like we cool?

what are we doing to preserve this "culture" when we allow everyone in and teach them the ins and outs..exclude us...they profit and make it corny then come back to steal the next thing.

we are the originators....yet we are not the protectors. but if its ours then why are we allowing it to be watered down. in that theory its apart of everyones culture who can profit.

we can be imitated and thats cool. but we allow others to take our "culture" from us while they are not allowing us in theirs.

I wasnt gonna entertain this dumb shit.. but ill keep it short we have a makeshift culture... but every culture is make shift culture ours is obviously in its infancy.. its an amalgamation of experiences that bind a way of life... if you are in america by hook or crook you have cultural practices that differ form your place of origin because the experience and way of life is different. The macro culture is shared however there are things that we do that are unique to us as black people.. and culture varies outside of the macro culture.
 
We have a culture but the white folks love it so much they hate it. It ain’t socially accepted simply because we are BLACK!

but ours is basically the youngest and most powerful yet we allow the most in.

We also have a habit for makin stupid shit akin to cultural pillars.. niggas act like the ripped the page out of a nigga bible when they see some cac twerking or some dumb shit like that

but people say its a form of flattery yet we dont like it.....

so from what i have read so far.....we have dancing, hiphop, get togethers, food and crazy names.
