De La Soul has reportedly regained ownership of their masters.

So Spotify randomly decided to take the uncensored version of Stakes is High off Spotify can only listen to the edited one. This is some bullshit! They need to fix that!!!
 
Not De La Orgee being the original Pause 4 Porno. why do rappers think we wanna listen to that in the middle of an album? at least De La can say they were young when they made their's.

Ay when I was a teen and that record came out I used to be into cutting school and on this particular day me and my friends were at my grandparents house (we used to shift houses based on whose people wouldln't be home) and I had 3 ft high and rising on vinyl so I was blasting that shit on my grandfather's stereo that I wasn't really allowed to touch... so of course he comes home unexpectedly right as De La Orgy was BLASTING! I dove for that shit so fast I was like a streak of light.

Somehow I was able to turn off the stereo and get everybody up outta there before he got in the house (My grandfather had polio so he walked slow).

Long story short... that skit holds a special place in my heart.
