Tbh I didn't remember either until reading dilla's incorrect answer. It was such an irrelevant part of the story at the time.
But I can understand why someone might be put off by seeing hooded justice bedwenching for some white dude during the jim crow era. It was some weird ass shit to just throw in the mythos.

It's mentioned in the book by Silk Spectre that Hooded Justice and Captain Metropolis were in a relationship so it always had a purpose for being in the show. They're not going to retcon Hooded Justice being gay just to appease some insecure posters on a hip hop forum.
