When Chappelle has done it before was he playing theaters or arenas like the venue in the video? I agree with you I just think that if it's a Chapelle led event, even though he wasn't the only comic there but it seems like he was the headliner, that the same protocol would be followed.

The person who brought it up went to the show the night before or a couple days before at the same venue and said they were tight af with the phone lockdowns and security.

Yh when I went to his show last year, they handed out those pouches to lock phones away.
But having seen that YouTube vid, they're easily broken into once you have a magnet
