Welcome To aBlackWeb

Dallas Officer Amber Guyger's trial for the murder of Botham Shem Jean begins (FOUND GUILTY)

Refusing to admit your mistake doesn't change the fact that the verses were misrepresented in your initial post. Which is my only point.

I didn’t make a mistake. You didn’t know what you were talking about. I knew clearly what I was saying when I said it.

It’s you who changed what you said with that “He wasn’t talking about himself, but he was talking about himself, but he wasn’t talking about himself...” ass shit because you didn’t understand the parable.

I haven't changed anything and you obviously don't understand the mistake you made, which is even worse.

Go back and read your initial post again. If you still feel that you didn't misrepresent those verses by inputting Jesus into the actual parable in place of the nobleman, then I don't know what to tell you.

You didn’t even know who the parable was about. I had to literally show you.

This is funny. If you don't believe the parable is about the coming of the kingdom, you might want to do a little more reading. You can start by googling "Luke 19 parable" or "parable of the ten talents(or menas)".

Does the shit you say really make sense to you bruh? So when white people started making shitty Hip Hop, should black people have abandoned Hip Hop? That would have been stupid. Yes, white people took Christianity and used it and still use it to push hateful and evil rhetoric. Last time, I checked, most black people aren't worshipping in KKK churches. Most Black Christians are in mostly black churches worshipping and serving largely according to custom developed in the black community. I'm not even saying blacks are perfect Christians, but if you really think the average Black Christian is the same as the average White Christian, you should probably just be quiet because you don't know what you're talking about.

And we've been over the Ephesians verses before, but since ya'll love to bring them up, let's do it again. When the Bible talks about slaves, it is not talking about chattel slavery like what was practiced in America. It is talking about something closer to indentured servitude. In many cases, the people who are servants were there because of their own actions either because of some debt they incurred or crime they committed. It's basically like he telling a prisoner to obey his C.O. Now again, you may still think that's stupid. That's fine, but put the shit in context. When you read the whole chapter, Paul is simply making the point that Christians should behave like Christians regardless of their station. He's not saying that Christians should happily take on any abuse or wrongdoing without standing up the way some of you imply.
I stopped reading after the bolded. You're obviously too ignorant to realize that black Christians were forced to get their own churches because their fellow white Christians wouldn't allow them to attend their. Even when black Christians wanted to start their own churches they still had to get permission from racist white Christians. Do you know why so many black Christians are Methodist and Baptist? Those were the only Christian denominations that would allow black people to start their own churches.

If you knew anything at all about your own history you would know that Richard Allen started the AME church after being subjected to racism and segregation inside the Christian Church. Black Christians were literally pulled off their knees while praying.

"The AMEC grew out of the Free African Society (FAS) which Richard Allen, Absalom Jones, and others established in Philadelphia in 1787. When officials at St. George’s MEC pulled blacks off their knees while praying, FAS members discovered just how far American Methodists would go to enforce racial discrimination against African Americans."

After whites allowed him to start a church in Philly the next AME bishop Morris Brown started an AME church in South Carolina. The co-founder of that church was a man named Denmark Vessey. The good Christian people of Charleston, South Carolina didn't like the message of freedom that was coming from Vessey's church so they followed their good Christian teaching and burn the church to the ground and hanged Mr. Vessey. Funny how no forgiveness was shown.

The white Christian citizens of Charleston were not done with that church. 93 years later a good Christian man by the name of Dylan Roof walked into this same church and we all know what happened next. After slaughtering 9 church goers Dylan Roof was sentenced to death. Even though the family members of the slaughtered showed contrition and said they "forgave" Dylan Roof there act of Christian forgiveness did not absolutely nothing to stem the tide of hatred and racism that flows through the hearts of the Christian citizens of these United States. The "forgiveness" that was shown after the Charleston massacre meant absolutely nothing to Amber Gugyer when she murdered Bothem Jean for the capital offense of eating ice cream in his own home. But as the saying goes those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it.

If you knew about thing about your history you would have known this. But knowledge and black Christians are two things that just don't mix.

Bro I literally posted the breakdown already

WRONG!!!

Jesus tells this parable immediately before going to Jerusalem, where he is to be crowned king (“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord,” Luke 19:38) but soon is rejected by his people. This identifies Jesus with the nobleman in the parable, [/b]and the crowd shouting “Crucify him!” (Luke 23:21) with the people in the parable who oppose the nobleman’s coronation. By this we know that the people have profoundly misjudged their soon-to-be king, except for the two servants who work diligently in his absence. The parable, in this context, warns us that we must decide if Jesus is indeed God’s appointed king and be prepared to abide the consequences of our decision either to serve him or oppose him.[1]
This parable makes explicit that citizens of God’s kingdom are responsible to work toward God’s goals and purposes.

aka “Get down or lay down”

You tried to say it wasn’t even about Jesus. I showed you it was you simpleton

The exact reason MLK said the most segregated hour in america is 11AM sunday morning. That shit still rings true till this day.

lol White people didn't invent Christianity, and by and large don't really even live by its doctrine even when they call themselves Christians, so I fail to see how Christianity is a white religion. But again, like I said, you just say stupid shit, so I don't really expect anything you say to make actual logical sense. And yes, they have captivated your mind. Read your own posts. Your whole reasoning behind whether or not what black people do is wrong comes down to what white people do. You may hate them, but they are still your master because in the end they are the ones that determine what you do and how you think.
Lolololololol white people did create Christianity. What are you even talking about

What language was the bible written in? And, why is it that there is no written bible in a African language since we created it?

WTF? Are you being serious or just trolling. The history behind why blacks and whites are in different churches is absolutely irrelevant to the point that I was making. Whether whites allowed blacks into their churches or not doesn't change the fact that NOW Christian churches are largely segregated and operate very differently. It's not even like this is some obscure shit that I'm bringing up. Everyone knows this. Whites and blacks have freely admitted and commented on how different the experience at a black church is vs what's at a white church. So again, it's just patently false to act like Blacks are just following after whites when worshipping given that black worship and white worship aren't even the same thing.

And again, Christians don't forgive because they believe it will change the people they forgive. That is the hope, but Christians are actually supposed to forgive other because God has forgiven us. Now, if you're not a Christian, that means nothing to you and that's fine. But this point you keep bringing up about Christian forgiveness not eliminating hatred is moot. No actually forgiving a racist will end racism. Just like no one should believe hating a racist will end racism. If neither course of action is going to accomplish that goal, then people should be able to choose whichever route works best for them.

What language was the bible written in? And, why is it that there is no written bible in a African language since we created it?

The Bible was originally written in Aramaic and Hebrew and then translated into Greek. Aramaic and Hebrew are Semitic languages which are considered Afro-Asiatic languages. Neither are European in origin. And who said anything about blacks creating the Bible. You literally made up a point to argue against.

What's all your lack of forgiveness doing for the cause?

I ain't saying I'd be so forgiving in this situation, but ya'll niggas kill me as if all your bluster has accomplished anything. Last time I check the black Christians actually fought for and got us rights. What did a black militant ever accomplish besides getting black people killed?

Understand what you just typed, "actually fought for us and got us rights"
So that means that "bluster" is why you're not on a plantation anymore.

But what have these hugging and forgiving black Christians ever accomplished?
Besides also getting black folks beaten and killed.
There is one big difference with the hugging and forgiving negroe.
They are the ones that get praise, payments, and opportunities from the white supremacist at the cost of black injustice.

You can't love and forgive the racism away.
Denouncing that behavior shouldn't mean you're any less religious.
But if it does, that religion is likely something you need to drop as it is doing you a disservice.

What we have here looks more like the victim's family members are using religion as an excuse.
It wouldn't be far fetched they were also paid off to do so at this point.

But any black person with a once of sense, regardless of religion, should be able to see how ridiculous the family's response has been.

wow @ some of this, smh. Makes me think, a while back i was listening to an episode of the ZoWhatShow on youtube(i forget which 1), and they touched on this subject. He said black people go this whole forgiveness route when they're victims, to make themselves feel better because, it lets them the illusion they have some sorta say or control over a situation, where they have neither. And i have to agree with what he said.
