I'm bout 40 mins in. Digging it so far.
It's weird when they do flashbacks and all them niggas still old af with chadwick boseman 30 yrs younger than them lol
I can stall it out as a stylistic choice....That was another thing! Yall couldn't even use prosthetics to make them younver if yall didn't want to cast younger actors?
This movie pissed me off for real.
None of that makes it a bad movie tho....ight i guess imma be that guy.
The movie was trash man.
Like the story was cool. It had potential. But a lot of the scenes just didn't make sense.
Like the fact that the one homie got blew up...they just left bruh there....but then had a whole montage about a funeral for Norman. They just said forget Eddie huh?
Then the Vietnamese troop picked up a shell...looked at it...then said 1 guy walked in a direction he didn't even look and the others drove away. Bruh...
Then Paul went from the right hand man of basically a 18 year old Panther to a Trump supporter? I guess that was the PTSD tho.
Then Paul storms off...falls down a hill...and the gold gets stuck on a branch as he's rolling...but somehow it's magically 20ft in the air? Lol....
I just didn't really care for this one man.
I think everyone agrees not using younger actors for the flashbacks was a horrible mistakeThat was another thing! Yall couldn't even use prosthetics to make them younver if yall didn't want to cast younger actors?

Spike was experimenting with something that may have sounded good and looked good on paper but it didn't look right on film. Poor execution on the flashbacksIt wasnt that good but it had its moments
Best ive seen from spike in a while
Imma just buy Gabis take on why they didnt even cover their grey hair for flashback scenes of 1968... bcuz that was dumb

Yall missing the point lol. I'm not saying they was supposed to carry his bloody carcass around. But why were they so married to getting the gold and Norm's bones bones for an proper burial all movie only to end up leaving him and no on screen funeral for Eddie to happen? Lol bruh...the movie was not good man.
If hollywood is still a thing next year, delroy lindo need to recognized for something for this cuz he played the shit out that role. That man was method acting.

Like they're remembering norm as he was as they are....if that makes sense. Still maybe woulda liked to see some young actors play the young versions of them and they switch back and forth. But it's spike's movie not mine
They couldnt afford some hair dye... a wig?You could be unto a spoiler with that ...
But I'm guessing with the huge sums Netflix spent on The Irishman in terms of deaging actors (I saw Gemini Man too again last night...) ... they passed on that aspect

Yup that was my guess that deaging thing wasnt something netflix wanted to pay for so spike just said fuck it lolYou could be unto a spoiler with that ...
