Although an opinion piece interesting article on progressive dems, moderate dems and moderate voters.
Opinion Mr. President, I read the polls. Democrats don’t want you to run again.
But nominating an even more leftist standard-bearer provides no safe harbor for moderate swing voters they need, who don’t like Trump but also don’t want socialism. Unless Democrats are ready to change their policies, and move to the center, getting rid of Biden won’t make a difference.
I thought most Dems felt they were already to close to the center and need to move more to the left.

Isnt Biden already pretty damn centrist? Wasnt that why he was picked for the nomination because Dems thought some of the other nominees were too far left and they wanted Biden to appeal to more centrist voters? Isnt that what he's been doing and folks are still pissed with Biden overall?

That should really tell folks something even more about the party overall.
IMO it says the Dems are completely fractured and everything they've done for quite sometime is really just patchwork bullshit of "we are not overt racists like the republicans. So vote for us not cause we're good but because we're not them." Far too many people have went along with that.
Young Dems want progression and middle to older Dems want status quo with a few things to go along with the times here and there.
The shit ain't going to work for the Dem party. Young & old repubs are basically on the same page.

I won't say it was wrong to sign a bill to fight Asian American discrimination. It just should have been done in response to the white people attacking them after Trump labelled COVID-19 the China Flu and not in response to some made up crisis of black men declaring war on the Asian community.
