one of my coworkers got me a gift card at this little comic book shop close to where she goes for Chinese food and I was able to buy the compendium for "Sex Criminals" which has Zdarsky doing the art and Matt Fraction writing. I haven't started it yet, but the premise seems funny.

Also starting "Kill or be Killed" by Brubaker

I went to Comic-palooza in Houston over the weekend. Like usual I had a good time. I decided to share a few photos

Anyone know what's going on with this "absolute" storyline DC is doing? All the characters look different. In the sense that it doesn't look like Diana as wonder woman. Did they just change up the character looks or are there new people as the heroes?

Also any news if there is going to be a reboot of books? I know at least DC goes back to issue 1 after a couple years. I want a good jump on point. Hear the current flash writer is killing it but dont know much else about how other books are being received.
 
So the Batman one is if he wasn't rich.

It's a grittier version. I got supes ,bats and ww today.... Imma read them later

The Absolute storyline starts with Darkseid sacrificing himself to create a universe in his own image to the point it's like DC's version of the Marvel Ultimate Universe.

I actually enjoyed the first set of issues of Absolute Batman & Superman. I haven't really read Absolute Wonder Woman like I should. I need to check for Absolute Flash.

Is there still a main timeline? Or is everything "absolute" universe right now?

Like how marvel had their ultimate comics, but also the 616 comics going at the same time
