I didn't know it was referred to as the Blog Era, but whenever that era ended, that's pretty much when rap became unlistenable for me.

I called it The Mixtape Era

Or the golden age of DatPiff and Worldstar

But Blog Era makes sense….anywhere on the internet where content could be uploaded and reviewed

Probably the first time in rap history where being on a small, independent label was lucrative
