Billboard's 50 Greatest Rappers List

lol I agree with Ja, he's top 50, but 😂 @ Ja stealing 50's posting style with the tags after every post. #glg #bransoncognac

Go down the street and ask
The average nigga who is nas 😂😂😂 they would laugh in yo face nobody gives af about your history or who you got nastalgia from listening to. That boy can not hold a candle next to Kendrick TPAB is the best album most niggas heard in this generation.
Wait what???

There was a somalian guy coming to my job and I asked him what he thinks about Nas and he told me he dont know who he is.
You're not in the US right ?? So that would kinda make sense, especially if 50 saying people don't know jay like that overseas, Nas would be even lesser known. But asking a random who Nas is and they don't know is impossible. They might not listen to him but they gonna know who he is

The 1st location where Billboard should've dropped the list...

Kendrick overrated like a mf.
This is not to suggest that he ain't a good rapper. He is.

But he ain't even in my Top 5 and I'm uncertain about my Top 10.

Rakim peaked in 88 and been living off that since….still one of the goats but the output is not there

You have a point.

Rakim was Top 5 status from from 86-1990.

But after that, a lot of people surpassed him.

When I was in high school he was definitely top 3 (along with KRS and LL Cool J), maybe even #1.

But now in 2023, I can't put him at the #1 spot. He had 4 solid albums from 87-92, but I can name 20-25 rappers that had 4 solid albums in a 5 year span.

And I can also name a handful of MCs that "changed the way people rap"
